  • Are jockstraps/cups allowed?

    No, unless for specific medical reasons.
  • May I wear a brace on one of my joints?

    Only braces made purely of fabric (ex: elbow or knee sleeves) are allowed in competition. Nothing with metal or plastic pieces are allowed. If you are unsure, please email us at registration@tapcancerout.org with a photo of your brace and we can make a determination ahead of time.
  • May I wear a rashguard, undershirt, or spats?

    As of 2021, the wearing of rashguards is OPTIONAL for all competitors. This is one of the few rules that does not align with the IBJJF rulebook. Spats / Leggings under the Gi pants, however, are NOT allowed.
  • What are your tie-breakers for Round Robin divisions?
